How It Works
Trinity Classical Academy is built on a model that takes seriously both the rigor of classical education and the primacy of the family. Small cohorts, mastery-based progression, a four-day week with one day at home, and an integrated curriculum that sees every subject as part of God's unified story.
One
Trinity Classical Academy uses a multi-age, mastery-based learning model rather than traditional grade levels. Students progress in small groups called "learning cohorts" based on skill, mastery, and developmental readiness. Cohorts are intentionally small — with a 1-to-12 ratio across the school — so teachers can individualize instruction. Sizes are capped based on age and subject. The exact configuration (e.g., half-day vs. full-day in the youngest years) may vary as enrollment and program needs develop. We'll publish the current structure each year.
Two
Trinity Classical Academy assesses each student individually in math, reading, and writing rather than assigning grades based solely on age. Students are placed in learning levels matching their abilities. Since all learning levels study the same historical era simultaneously, students progress at their own pace, accommodating advanced learners, typical students, and those needing additional support without compromising content quality.
Three
The academy operates on a parental partnership model, with four days of on-campus, teacher-led instruction Mondays through Thursdays, and one independent home study day on Fridays.
The Weekly Rhythm
Four
We live in an age of specialization, but God is writing a masterful story that is all connected. The school integrates Bible, History, and Literature so students naturally observe thematic connections unfolding throughout their education.
